What is a SumUp Card?

It's pre-pay debit card, you load however much money you want on to it and then use it to pay as per any other debit/credit card. You can use it anywhere, but if you use it to pay on a SumUp terminal such as the one in the Club, then there are advantages to both parties.

Is it a physical or virtual (on phone) card?

Can be either or both at your choice, you get access to the virtual one straight away.

Why should I be interested?

• You will receive 5% cashback every time you use it on a SumUp terminal to pay, you also receive 2% cashback at Supermarkets and 0.5% everywhere else. The cashback applies up to £10 a month.

• The merchant receives no fee on the transaction, rather than usual 0.99% 

• It's a great way to support not only the Club but also all local businesses using SumUp such as Arden's coffee shop in Kenilworth.

How long does it take to apply?

About 5 mins. You will need some ID such as driving licence or passport. You have access to the virtual card instantly.

Anything else?

Yes - if you use a referral code when you apply and then make at least three card payments totalling at least £10 within 30 days, then you and the referrer receive £10.

Can I refer anyone?

Yes, you can receive up to 10 referral awards, so earning up to £100.

Cash is still a better option though?

It’s entirely up to you how you pay for things of course. But as Banks charge to deposit cash in to a business account it means a SumUp card payment is the only transaction without someone else taking a cut!
